At least 14 people died in an accident when a vehicle plunged into a
river on Bahindi-Kende road in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi.
Alhaji Tukur Mari, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kebbi
Council, who witnessed the accident, told the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) that the accident occurred at midnight on Saturday.
Mari told NAN in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday that the accident occurred
when the driver of the vehicle lost control and the vehicle plunged into
Kende River.
He said 14 of the 15 passengers in the vehicle died.
He said the survivor, Malam Shamsuddeen Kende, was receiving
treatment at the General Hospital, Dakingari, while the dead were buried
on Sunday morning according to Islamic rites.
The Vice-Chairman of Bagudo Local Government, Alhaji Aliyu Zagga, and
the District Head of Kende, Alhaji Bello Zagga, both confirmed the
incident.

Hormonal imbalance
Many types of medical problems can cause hormonal imbalance, including:
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). PCOS causes relatively high and

the normal menstrual cycle.
Thyroid malfunction. An overactive (hyperthyroidism) or underactive
(hypothyroidism) thyroid gland can cause menstrual irregularities,

Structural problems

Structural abnormality of the v**ina. An obstruction of the v**ina

Complications
Complications of amenorrhea may include:
Infertility. If you don’t ovulate and have menstrual periods, you can’t become pregnant.
Osteoporosis. If your amenorrhea is caused by low estrogen levels,
you may also be at risk of osteoporosis — a weakening of your bones.
Treatments
Treatment depends on the underlying cause of your amenorrhea. In some
cases, contraceptive pills can restart your menstrual cycles. Amenorrhea
caused by thyroid or pituitary disorders may be treated with
medications. If a tumor or structural blockage is causing the problem,
surgery may be necessary
Preventions
Some lifestyle factors can cause amenorrhea, so strive for balance in
work, recreation and rest. Assess areas of stress and conflict in your
life. If you can’t decrease stress on your own, ask for help from
family, friends or your doctor.
Be aware of changes in your menstrual cycle and check with your
doctor if you have concerns. Keep a record of when your periods occur.
Note the date your period starts, how long it lasts and any troublesome

A 25-year-old man committed suicide on Thursday morning by electrocuting himself on an overhead power line in Nakuru, Kenya.
According to an eyewitness, Susan Wachuka, the young man removed all of his clothing before climbing the transmitter line.
“We thought it was usual of him to undress,” she said.
The man, who was only identified by the locals as Emmanuel, is said
to have been a carpenter who was having mental problems, adding that he
was always quiet.
Kenya power staff arrived at the scene but were forced to wait for
crime police officers for three hours before removing the body.
The workers were forced to switch off power at the zone so as to retrieve the body from the power lines.

Why were you dethroned? It all started when I got the Franchise for participation at the Miss United Nations Pageant on the 17th to 18th of April 2013.Because
I was getting late for everything, they immediately forwarded my
invitation letter and other documents to facilitate my VISA application.
In addition, they assigned to me an African Director whose job was to
make sure I secure a Tourist Visa to Mexico were the finals would take
place. I had all his details sent to me and I contacted him and we
started working.First he sent me Embassy requirements which I
met but one thing never went well with me. And that was the Exaggeration
of the visa fee from 30pounds to 700USD for each person and for 3
people, that would be #280,000 in Nigerian Currency, and I was to travel
with my chaperone and personal director.I paid him the sum of #70,000 for a start before he went ahead with the procession of visa.Some
days after we were invited for Biometrics and on getting there we also
made another payment of 30,000. We got the Visa and promised to pay up
when we return to Yenagoa.When we got home, Mr Richard who was
my personal director suggested I should do a Coronation Party for
Recognition and attention and it came to pass with guests as Mr Zelly
Mighty the African Director, Mr Jahn Basil the National Director, Sharon
Mmezie Miss Unity Nigeria, Lynda Onwuka’ Queen Culture, Chisom Ubadike’
Miss Agulu, Amaka’ Runway Queen and so many others on the 19th of May.The
next day, 20th, I took them on a Courtesy visit to my State Govt’ Chief
of staff and were received with warm hands. They were also given an
Appreciation of 100,000.Along the line, something camp up. I
had a little problem and my personal director secretly suggested that I
should be replaced by one Emilia Miebi. It came to my knowledge and I
had him removed as my director.A few weeks after, Mr Zelly
invited us to Concord hotels for the Official unveiling of Delegates to
Miss United Nations. I attended the event with my Manager/Chaperone,
Miss Jessica. We were allocated to our rooms. While we were around, they
called us for a meeting to discuss with us, I never knew they had it
all planned. I was with Mr Zelly and he was beginning to irritate me
with all s*x talks and proposals. Telling me, he can make me win if I go
to bed with him. The next minute, I heard Jessica shouting out of
annoyance and raining insults on Mr Jahn Basil for having locked up the
room and attempted r*pe with force. We would have recorded the
discussion but never knew the utilities of the phone we were using at
that time. Though we had chats via sms on our phones. We also felt we
would report to the UN pageant authorities by the time we arrive in

0211…..” and also prepared to leave from Lagos to Mexico on the 30th of
June as the flight itinerary was booked. The event was to kick off on
the 1st and end on the 7th of July 2013.On getting to Lagos,
we were informed that the pageant was postponed to October and the Venue
shifted to Miami. When we reached were the other girls were staying, we
asked them if the pageant truly was authentic due to the impromptu in
changing dates, and if they knew much about these Directors but we got
no for an answer.I stand to say, Mr Zelly hides his identity
and the other girls are aware but wouldn’t want to tell us. Often a
time, he would always tell me that Miss Sharon and Lynda are his girls
and no doubt I was always seeing them hug sexually and I also noticed
they always inhabit a single room anytime they lodge. I believe the
girls have compromised their dignity for a position because he had also
promised me such a place in the Miss United Nations if I agree to go to
bed with him.I was yet to understand what he earlier meant by
telling me Sharon and Lynda are his girls until I saw for my self how he
Pimped them for men and how they always say yes to his commands whether
right or wrong.Anyway, since the pageant was no longer
holding, we pleaded for our Tickets to be put on refund. At first they
were reluctant, trying to convince us to keep it till the Miami trip

them put our tickets on refund. They also told us that the refund
process would take 5working days to be done and we agreed.Later
we realised they wanted to travel to Togo, to while away time and leave
us behind, so we also thought of the fact that we don’t know these men
to their offices and houses and if they eventually run away with our
money, what would we tell those who are already in doubt about the whole
pageant?We decided to follow them to Togo after agreeing that everybody would pay 50,000 for all logistics.We
also did, just to follow up our ticket money. While we were there, we
would remind them everyday if they had checked for updates about our
Ticket. They brought back those Harassment again and because we would
bluntly refuse all the time, they decided to hate on us with passion.Treated
us wrongly, always puts his girls first and us second in everything.
And I never knew Mr Zelly, the African Director of Miss United Nations
was a PIMP until the day we were all preparing to go for a party. We got
all dressed up but before we could reach the venue for the party, these
two(2) girls, Miss Unity Nigeria and Queen Culture were already there
and Lynda was closely Leaning on one of the guy while Sharon was sitting
on one of the guys lap. They were some Nigerian guys in Togo.The
rest of the girls were forced to question them why they were at the
party before every other person and after hearing their explanations,
especially from Sharon who confided in me and said in #quote, “Zelly
insisted we should arrive here before anyone, that there were some men
that he arranged for us to spend the night with, so they could give us
some money to do some of the shopping here in Togo” she also said that
Zelly also felt we would have reduced their chances of hooking up with
the guys since I was always beating her to her beauty and looks.(i was
laughing @this point) and we never saw them till the next morning.A
lot of Similar cases like this happened severally, even at the beach,
we were made to arrive later than everyone. I mean i, Jessica, Steiner
and Chisom with Amaka.A day before our departure, he sent his
P.A to our room to request for another #50,000 and if we don’t pay, they
will leave us in Togo. At this very point, my chaperone, Jessica let
loosed her anger and was talking while walking out of the room. She went
outside to meet the African Director and while talking to him, a lot of
people gathered. This brought one Nigerian girl that understood “Ibo”
to us and Steiner who speaks Ibo was narrating the whole story to her
when she laughed and told us we’ve been fooled all this while. She also
added that these men are Fraudsters, what we call in Nigeria as 4.1.9.
She then promised to call on her friend, and to our surprise, those
friends she called were International Policemen! They came around our
hotel and had all of them arrested except for the girls.Through
the night, we thought to our selves and decided to settle everything
cause it might blow out of proportion and besides, we were not in our
home country. We begged for bail and the next day, we left Togo for
Nigeria. Reaching Nigeria we headed straight to the Bank and had them
refund us our money. Meanwhile, they had deducted our money as follows;Actual Amount: #420,000 minusTogo Trip: 50,000Deduction from Airline which was supposed to be 15%, they collected 20%and that was 80,000My Outstanding Visa fee: 90,000.And
told us that the money due to us is just 200,000 only. The same thing
was done to Jessica but we all collected it that way with no complaints.A
few days ago, I received some messages from this same monster in my
dreams, Mr Zelly Mighty, via emails, facebook and whatsapp that i am an
ingrate and that he has tried to help me but I wouldn’t take it and
rather I proved difficult to him and for that reason, he was going to
deal with me. He also promised to replace me with another delegate. He
never stopped there, he went further to ruin my personality to the
United Nations Pageant president, Mr Leong Williams. He said in #quote
from one of the chats he had with someone that I am a street and club
girl and not worth being a queen. Ask me, are his girls worth being one?
When all they do is sell their dignity for positions?I also
reported to the United Nations Organisation and they told me to hang on,
that their board of directors were attending to that dispute and they
would reply me with a letter. I felt it was my Invitation letter for
Miami.Not until the 9th of August 2013, I got a message alert only to find a heading as“Dethronement Of Miss Nigeria United Nations”.Though I didn’t panic cause I had already concluded that I won’t be part of such a pageant.But
it pained me cause the African Director had no idea how I got my
Franchise, neither does he have the power to replace or dethrone anyone
not me either. After all I had been through from him and his
co-conspirators and he wouldn’t just let me be.From what I
read in the Dethronement letter, it seems, he had also advice the other
girls, Sharon, Amaka, Chisom and Lynda to complain and write False
stories about me which are not true and can never be true.I don’t care the number of people who are set to taint and destroy my image & personality.Am
doing this Press release to inform the Media, TV stations, Radio
Houses, Bloggers, websites and every other communication centre to know
that I am a Personality to behold and would never ever Stand to be Used
in such a Derogatory manner. There are back-ups to what I’ve just

Candance Morris faced more than 30 years behind bars, when she stood
before Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Melba Marsh Monday.
The actions that lead up to Morris’s conviction still shock the other
moms in the East Price Hill neighborhood with whom she lived and
socialized regularly. When the mothers in the neighborhood needed
someone to watch their boys, Morris often volunteered.
But on New Year’s Eve, Morris, a mother herself, slept with two teens
of two mothers she knew very well. “We were going to church and she
knew that and she blew my phone up (asking) to bring my baby over,” the
mother said. It was big mistake.
Morris spent the day smoking marijuana, drinking a half-gallon of
vodka as well as beer and champagne. She ended up getting in bed with
two boys, having s*x with them at the same time. The s*x romp was kept
secret until Morris got into a fight with one of the boy’s mothers and
shouted–in a profane matter–that she had bedded her son.
During her sentencing, she expressed regret for her behavior. “I
apologize for the pain that I caused and I know my actions were
irresponsible,” Morris told the judge, blaming “my bad habits” for the
incident. “I would never have done it intentionally.”
Morris could have served 30 years in prison for her actions, but her
guilty plea reduced her sentence significantly. She also told the judge
that the boys took advantage of her sexually while she was passed out.
The teens have been tested for HIV and results have returned negative so
far. They are tested every six months and will have to be for some
time.
One of the mother’s said Morris’s actions hurt her dearly. “I cared
for her. I cared for her son,” said the mother of one of the
14-year-olds Morris abused. “I feel like she planned and plotted. I feel
betrayed.”
Morris will have to register as a child s*x offender for 25 years
when she is released from prison. She has already given up custody of
her child.

planet that's as big as Jupiter and cobalt blue in color has been
spotted crossing in front of its parent star in the X-ray spectrum — a
first for scientists. Nearly two decades ago, researchers started detectingexoplanetsby
observing the dips in starlight that result when these alien worlds
pass in front of their stars. But scientists had never before observed
an exoplanet eclipse, called a "transit," in X-ray light.
"Thousands
of planet candidates have been seen to transit in only optical light,"
study researcher Katja Poppenhaeger, of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center
for Astrophysics (CfA) in Cambridge, Mass., said in a statement.
"Finally being able to study one in X-rays is important because it
reveals new information about the properties of an exoplanet." [See the exoplanet eclipse in X-ray light (Video)] Poppenhaeger and her colleagues focused on the "hot Jupiter" exoplanet HD 189733b, which is similar in size to the gas giantJupiterbut
is scorching hot. HD 189733b is more than 30 times closer to its star
than Earth is to the sun, which results in temperatures over 1,832
degrees Fahrenheit (1,000 degrees Celsius) and a year that lasts just
2.2 days.
At 63 light-years from Earth, the alien planet HD 189733b
is the closest hot Jupiter to our planet and is often targeted by
astronomers who want to study its hostile environment. Observations have
also revealed that the planet rains glass in howling 4,350 mph (7,000
km/h) winds, and scientists recently used NASA's Hubble Space Telescope
to confirm itsdeep blue hue. In the new study, the researchers used NASA'sChandra X-ray Observatoryto
watch six transits of HD 189733b and the European Space Agency's
XMM-Newton spacecraft to observe one. They found that the dip in X-ray
intensity during these transits was three times greater than the
corresponding drop in optical light. "The
X-ray data suggest there are extended layers of the planet's atmosphere
that are transparent to optical light but opaque to X-rays," study
researcher Jurgen Schmitt of Hamburger Sternwarte in Hamburg, Germany,
explained in a statement. "However, we need more data to confirm this

The scientists already knew that ultraviolet and X-ray radiation from the planet's star was destroying its atmosphere
over time, and they estimate that this evaporation is occurring at a
rate of 220 million to 1.3 billion pounds (100 million to 600 million
kilograms) of mass per second. The
main star in HD 189733b's system has higher levels of magnetic activity
and appears about 30 times brighter in X-ray observations compared to
its dim red companion star. And researchers think it can thank the huge
exoplanet for its young looks. "This
star is not acting its age, and having a big planet as a companion may
be the explanation," Poppenhaeger said. "It's possible this hot Jupiter
is keeping the star's rotation and magnetic activity high because of
tidal forces, making it behave in some ways like a much younger star."

activates the thyroid hormone for a faster metabolism. Easy meal ideas:
Poach wild salmon with a watercress and pink grapefruit salad, make a
wild salmon ceviche, or eat smoked wild salmon with dill and mustard.
7. Oysters
Oysters are your salvation when you're dieting and dining out. In
addition to being low in calories-it's only 50 calories for six
oysters-they are the richest dietary source of zinc, which helps to
decrease the appetite and PMS-induced cravings.
Easy meal idea: Eat a few oysters at the raw bar with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of Tabasco.
8. Coconut Oil
Not all dietary fats are created equal. Coconut oil is rich in
medium-chained-triglycerides (MCTs), which your body preferentially uses
for energy, leaving less opportunity for them to be stored as fat. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed greater abdominal fat loss over a 16-week period when MCTs were consumed versus olive oil.

A UPS cargo jumbo jet crashed and erupted into flames a half-mile from the airport in Birmingham, Ala., this morning. The two pilots on board died in the crash, according to local police.
The plane had taken off from Louisville and was on final approach to Birmingham International Airport at 6:10 a.m. when it went down, according to authorities.
The TSA said they believed the pilot and copilot were the only individuals on board with the cargo.
The National Transportation Safety Board
launched an immediate investigation into the crash, announcing that
they would send a full "Go Team" of investigators to Birmingham.
"The NTSB
investigation will be led by our lead investigator in charge, Dr. Dan
Bower, accompanied by experts in the area of structures, power plants,
systems, air traffic control, human performance, aircraft performance,
and a number of disciplines," said Robert Sumwalt, a board member of the NTSB who spoke in Washington, D.C., before boarding a plane to Birmingham this morning.
The team was expected to arrive in Birmingham by noon to begin their work.
Sumwalt said that he would not be able to speculate on the cause or
details of the crash without seeing the wreckage first, but noted that
the NTSB has been very successful at recovering black box recorders from
aircraft in the past and hoped to be able to do so with the UPS plane.
The plane, an Airbus A300, was manufactured in 2004. The plane was said
to be carrying a mixture of heavy cargo and freight and small packages.
It was unclear what caused the crash. Near 6 a.m., the airport had visibility of 10 miles and a cloud ceiling of 700 feet.
"This incident is very unfortunate, and our thoughts and prayers are with those involved," said UPS Airlines President Mitch Nichols.
"We place the utmost value on the safety of our employees, our customers
and the public. We will immediately engage with the National
Transportation Safety Board's investigation, and we will work
exhaustively on response efforts," continued Nichols.
The company said that family members seeking information on the crash should telephone 800-631-0604.
Retired U.S. Marine Col. Steve Ganyard, an ABC News aviation consultant,
said this morning that the NTSB would be able to quickly go into the
crash site and begin recovering evidence that would help them understand
the cause of the crash, including the way the plane hit the ground and
the information recorded by the black boxes on board.
"The one thing that is in favor of getting this resolved quickly is
we've got tapes, radar tapes, tower tapes, it looks like it's not that
bad of a crash that the black boxes should survive," he said.
"The crash occurred on the runway or in the descent into the airport, so
it's going to be controlled. It didn't land in trees on a mountain with
terrible destruction. The flat area will allow investigators to do a
thorough analysis," Ganyard said. "They can look at where the engines
were, whether it was turning or not, what the speed was, if the gear was
down, if the control surfaces were operating properly."
The investigators will first try to determine whether anything was
specifically wrong with the airplane itself and whether other models of
the airplane could pose a danger.
The A300 is one of the most widely-flown aircraft in the world. It was
produced from 1974 to 2007 and 561 of the aircraft were delivered.
